If you've ever visited one of the Bass Pro Shops in person, then you already have an idea of what kind of shopping experience they exhibit. For those who haven't visited a Bass Pro Shops, prepare for a huge selection of outdoor gear, including clothing, fishing/boating equipment, camping supplies, hunting necessities, home furnishings/decorations and much more. Their products can be seen in person at the stores, or online at the website.

The website allows you to perform searches on products by either keyword or catalog item number. You can also browse through several different categories by clicking on buttons located near the top, or on the left-hand side of the screen.

Upon viewing details of a particular item, you are made aware if the item is low in stock. Once you add an item to your shopping cart, the shipping price is instantly displayed, reflecting the contents of your cart. This is a nice feature to have because you don't have to wait until you've added several items to your cart to realize that shipping costs might be higher than you expected.

The shopping cart is always visible while you're shopping (unlike some), telling you how many items are in your cart and the total price. It is easy to add/remove items from your cart, as well as change quantities at the click of a button. One feature I especially appreciated in the shopping cart was that after an item is added, you have the option to continue shopping. If you choose to continue shopping, you are returned the product you last visited (unlike some sites that take you back to their home page, leaving you to navigate through the site again to get to the category you were initially interested in).

Bass Pro Shops also has several "feature" sections of the website, including useful articles, discussion forums, and help sections to assist users in utilizing the site at its maximum potential. Some of the recent articles on the site were titled:

A final thing I especially like about the website is the Clearance section. You don't find this in the catalog! It changes frequently and usually contains great deals and offers on discontinued items, close-outs, and sale items.
