Normally I will purchase a new printer with a large rebate, and then resell it on
ebay.com. It has been cheaper than purchasing a new cartridge at nearly $40, so I
had been buying my printers, using up the cartridges, and actually making a profit.

However, I finally broke down and purchased a good quality HP printer. It came with
black and color cartridges, but when the black one ran out of ink first, it almost made
me sick to spend $30 for a new one. The color cartridge had finally bit the dust, so I
was going to be forced to make even a bigger expenditure.

Having received much e-mail about saving money on these items by shopping
on-line, I decided to search around and found a website called carrotink.com. What
aroused my curiosity was the fact that they had a promotion “spend $25, get a free
cartridge, and free shipping”. This seemed like a good deal, so I proceeded to check
out all of the fine print.

I must say that I liked their site from the beginning! On the left of the page all of the
brands of printers were listed. Since I was looking for HP, I clicked on that name and
was taken to a page to help me select the exact product I needed. My choices for
searching were by Printer Model, Cartridge Number of the HP Easy Number. I
decided to try the Printer Model selection, and easily found my HP Deskjet 960CXI.

At that point I was taken to another page that showed exactly what was offered with
detailed information so it would have been absolutely impossible to pick the wrong
one. I ordered one black and one color remanufactured cartridge. There were also
options for refill kits as well as prepaid mailer envelopes for sending your own
cartridge in and having them fill it. I was especially pleased to see that the black one
was $14.95 and the color $21.95. Staples sells the black for $29.95 and the color for
$34.99. That is quite a savings.

In addition I was offered a free cartridge so I got one for my other printer, and decided
to upgrade to UPS shipping for $1. The free shipping was USPS and I felt the extra
$1 was money well spent. USPS shipping goes out the next business day, and UPS
ships the same afternoon.

I received a prompt confirmation e-mail for my order, and am able to check the status
on-line by logging into my account.

This company has been in business since 1998, and has received several nice
honors for on-line stores. One was from bizrate.com were the customers rated them
#24 in overall satisfaction out of all Internet stores.

I have to say that the convenience, price, and good service will surely keep me as a
customer and my printer with plenty of ink!
